The eye of the storm - LillyMist - 08-28-2005 In this case you don't look it in the eye and stand your ground,, you run like hell. catagory 5 The eye of the storm - HerbaMatey - 08-29-2005 Yes you near that freak? I watch TV every day or try to and near the SciFI and independent movie channel there's a weather channel doing 24/7 coverage on her. The eye of the storm - Lillian2 - 08-29-2005 Yes Herba, I live in Jacksonville, Florida.. we have been getting the feederband effect. Keeping a close eye on this monster. The eye of the storm - Castor - 08-29-2005 That is terrible! I live far, far away in Europe, but have an uncle in Florida. I wish you all good luck, stay strong and well, Castor The eye of the storm - dreamster - 08-29-2005 The hurricane isn't a monster, we humans who have created global warming are the monsters. The eye of the storm - Lillian2 - 08-30-2005 Thanks Castor. It's just a figure of speech dreamster. It really does feel like a monster when a catagory 5 hurricane is heading your way. Katrina is fierce, passionate and beautiful in her own right. And I agree, we humans have contributed by dumping our toxins on the earth, we also affect the weather with our thoughts and natural cycles have a part to play too. Update: The eye of the storm - dreamster - 08-30-2005 Lillian, I know. My comment was out of frustration. Nature is our creator and as we desecrate Her, She restores balance and kicks our asses in the process. The eye of the storm - LillyMist - 08-31-2005 I hear you, dreamster. Do you feel that we affect the weather with our thoughts and emotions? lillymist The eye of the storm - dreamster - 09-01-2005 lillymist, Definitely. I feel that all life is inter-connected and in a sense we are the weather. Our anger and greed are the violent storms that are coming back at us. The eye of the storm - Lillian2 - 09-01-2005 dreamster, it is amazing how easy it is for some to see this most obvious fact and for others, well, I guess it would mean that their way of thinking and being is threatned, should they even contemplate such a thing. Seeing that we affect the weather and everything else with our thoughts means we have a responsibility not to add more ignorance to the matter. And indeed, to actually reverse the effects. lilly The eye of the storm - Abramelin - 09-01-2005 Those Inuit must have some damn' cold thoughts !! The eye of the storm - dreamster - 09-02-2005 You must be from Skeptical Reaction. The eye of the storm - Abramelin - 09-03-2005 What's your point, Dreamster? Just accept every point of view just because it's an interesting one? I am critical, yes. And I do post on Sustained Reaction. I am not the guy who believes all that he reads. I think for myself. I hope you don't mind. Abe. The eye of the storm - dreamster - 09-03-2005 Maybe I just don't understand your sense of humor. The eye of the storm - Abramelin - 09-03-2005 Well, oke then. Yes, it was a silly joke, but: if weather is influenced by what people think (a concept elaborated in the books by Jane Roberts about an entity called "Seth"), then what's happening in the arctic? Or is the weather in the polar regions like it is because there are almost no people living there? Or is it the other way round? Abe. The eye of the storm - LillyMist - 09-04-2005 Well not exactly Abe, What I was suggesting was that togther, say humanity subscribes to angry thoughts,, it is static energy collecting in the atmostphere, that affects the weather patterns over a period. That's just one example, there are many. There are even sayings: Trinis say "man you like the weather" or wait till your mother comes home, there will be 'thunder' You know Macrocosm, Microcosm. Good nite all. Lil The eye of the storm - Guest - 09-04-2005 mankind is obviously getting what he has been asking for through the way he has treated this sacred planet. Now those people have a first-hand view of how the fish in the area feel about the dirty water. They were swimming in their own dung and urine and industrial filth. Serves them right? Not for me to judge. The eye of the storm - Abramelin - 09-04-2005 Yeah, I understand what you were saying, Lillian. That's why I said 'influenced by', not 'directed by'. I'm sure you''ll like this next book: "The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events (A Seth Book)" by Jane Roberts. And eh......Katrino.......your view on things is nothing more than the new age version of the old Judeo-Christian-Muslem: "you must reap what you have sown", or: you'll pay for your sins. The idea of a revengeful God,only now we call him Mother Earth/ Gaia or Nature. Perhaps Chaos rules and balance is only an idea to comfort us. The eye of the storm - dreamster - 09-04-2005 Abe, Things are about to change in the polar regions as Bush opens the Arctic Wildlife refuge to oil drilling. As the hot, greedy thoughts of profit hit the arctic the temperatures will rise. Global warming is like a feverish, materialistic plague that is being created by both thought and action. The eye of the storm - Abramelin - 09-04-2005 Dreamster, This is what I think sometimes: there's only one real plague-animal on this rock, and that's us. Not rats, not locusts, not SARS, not microbes, only us. We breed like rabbits and devoure like locusts. The end will be when one group of starving people with nothing left to loose will en masse invade the 'rich' countries. Not just a few thousand, but millions of people will start migrating to the 'promised land' and nothing will be able to stop them. We are our own 'killer asteroid'. No rosy future where everybody loves one another. Only fear will rule. That's what I think sometimes. Abe. EDIT: I had to change the title of this post a bit because the auto-edit for certain words of this site apparently doesn't understand Latin... The eye of the storm - Jeric87 - 09-04-2005 All these materialistic things are all learned in our thoughts by alot of things we see in the media. Talking about this between ourselves won't solve anything except within ourselves. More people should know about this. Most people are ignorant when it comes to this type of topic, but as we gain experience in our daily world, maybe now it's more suitable to say these things to the mass. But then again, it's up to each individual to see things, in their own intent either to think about this matter or not. Now how do we get this out on the open? Where there's a will, there's a way, only if people choose it. Maybe it doesn't depend on us, the Spirit has an agenda to wake people up. Like the one where CC wrote books about the teachings of don Juan Matus and the later books of Napoleon Hill. And even the e-book of David Deangelo, where he's making guys less materialistic and more natural by not spending too much money or none at all on dates. Things so subtle as writing books in a non direct way to make us less materialistic is a part of the Spirit's agenda. We're beings that can learn new things. Most of us just learned the wrong things Abe. So mother Earth is just cleaning up our acts. To lift us up in a higher conscious of helping each other and the such instead of making us miserable since its affection is subtle. The problems we have to overcome can give us an equal or greater benefit, like the saying of Napoleon Hill. The eye of the storm - LillyMist - 09-04-2005 Abe Yeah, I understand what you were saying, Lillian. That's why I said 'influenced by', not 'directed by'. lil True, that you did, Abe. Abe I'm sure you''ll like this next book: "The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events (A Seth Book)" by Jane Roberts. lil I will look for this book on AMAZON. Thanks, sounds very interesting. Dreamster Things are about to change in the polar regions as Bush opens the Arctic Wildlife refuge to oil drilling. lil OMG, Really? This is sick. Dreamster As the hot, greedy thoughts of profit hit the arctic the temperatures will rise. Global warming is like a feverish, materialistic plague that is being created by both thought and action. lil Awareness is opening up in many people now, just look at the discussion we are having here. A great tool is Visualization and where two or three are gathered .....we can begin to change or reverse this downward trend with thought and action. Abe The end will be when one group of starving people with nothing left to loose will en masse invade the 'rich' countries. Not just a few thousand, but millions of people will start migrating to the 'promised land' and nothing will be able to stop them. We are our own 'killer asteroid' lil Ahh so. That's why the call is urgent to start clearing the atmostphere of this build up of negative energy. A monster of tremendous proportions given life by 'the collective' humanity Great being here. Su The eye of the storm - Abramelin - 09-04-2005 Jeric8: "So mother Earth is just cleaning up our acts. To lift us up in a higher conscious of helping each other and the such instead of making us miserable since its affection is subtle." I don't think mother Earth cares if we all drop dead the next minute or live on as a race for another million years. We die out, something new takes over. But because we humans think we're something special, we've developed philosophies and religions that say we're the caretakers of the planet, on our way to become godlike creatures. One fart, one flare of the sun or a gamma-ray burst of a nearby star and we're toast. Zapped into oblivion. The eye of the storm - Nagual LoneWolf - 09-05-2005 Abe I totally agree with your above statement. We are our own worst nightmare. The eye of the storm - Guest - 09-05-2005 Voodoo capital of America is now swimming in its own ****. Does it really deserve better? Not for me to judge. Chances are they will never fully get the smell of **** and piss out of that city. They can hold conventions for people with no noses. That's about it. Glad I was smart enough to never live there. |
