What is your Maya day-sign? - teopiltzin - 08-27-2011 Hello everyone. I was just curious as to what everyone's day-sign is in the Maya calendar. I was just wondering, since that could help me find people that are like minded in various ways. My sign is 11-Cauac, which means rain or storm and "to plant, to set out" but also "setting the table for the gods." It's a noble sign, but a bit misunderstood. But the sign in and of itself sets itself apart for its mystical qualities. What about your sign? You could check at mayancross.com --Teo. What is your Maya day-sign? - Guest - 08-29-2011 It said mine was Net or also called the seed. It said some things that are very true, like living in a foreign country. This is similar to the dreamspell (came before it of course) and it even gives the dreamspell equivalent if you click on the glyphs, takes you to another page with more info on each symbol. Cool site. Here Teo I put it in link form. http://mayancross.com/ What is your Maya day-sign? - Guest - 08-29-2011 Interpretation Overview of Road Energy: the path, destiny, and tooth A Road person usually makes an impact that reaches far and wide. Road is an important energy in the Mayan calendar system due to the status as one of the four Year Bearers of the Haab calendar and considered to be one of the gentler energies among them. Road’s spiritual path may be a long, crooked one which leads to so many dead ends and twisted alleys that it oftentimes seems like an endless maze. If Road learns to adhere to their truth, they can cut out the negativity from life and unfold the beauty of the great cycles of life. When aligned with their soul’s purpose, they are headed towards the sun, also known as the hunter, whose moral and spiritual impeccability takes aim and never misses the mark. The Vertical Axis – is ruled by the direction South, where the color is yellow and, as with the Earth, brings the energy of restoration, renewal and fulfillment, like the warmth of summer. Heart Sign: The predominant sign of your Mayan Cross, Road Road, also thought of as “path” or “grass” is the nawal (spiritual companion) found in the heart center of this Mayan Cross and is the most obvious frequency of your energetic signature. A person with the sign Road is skilled in working with others and has the potential to be a strong leader. Road tends to reach out, inspiring and entertaining a wide audience. Lucky in love, Road’s are born travelers, allured by all things foreign, yet happy to return and be at home. Aligned Road people are often glorified historically and regarded as an authority. Conception (head) Sign: Net The nawal Net engenders the 260 day gestation process for Road and helps formulate the karmic inheritance for this Mayan day sign. Net energy indicates previous entanglements that need to be cleared in order to find life-fulfillment, but Net also has an ability to discover creative ways to untangle and find the gifts that rest beneath messy situations. Destiny (feet) Sign: Sun The energy of the Sun implies that Road stands a good chance of achieving much and meeting his/her goals. This does not necessarily come easily, as Road puts on a lot of emotional miles in search of Truth and meaning. Hunters must be stable and clear of mind, secure in the wilds and able to overcome obstacles. The Horizontal Axis – influenced by the direction North where the color is white and the energy is intellectual, analytical and cold like winter Left Arm – Challenges: Flint/Obsidian Knife This nawal on the left side of the Mayan Cross indicates protection from the deceptions of others and tells you when to retreat in a negative situation. This favors not only in material terms but also in spiritually. This will be useful as Road untangles the karmic Net and works towards becoming a self-realized and an influential Elder. Right Arm – Gifts: Death/Great Cycles The nawal that manages the great cycle of life, death and rebirth on the right side of the Mayan Cross denotes an inclination to the past and strong connection with the ancestral realm. For Road, this will be observed in old age. What is your Maya day-sign? - goosewhispers - 08-30-2011 Interpretation Overview of Deer Energy: foundational, harmonic, graceful Deer energy is solidly placed in each of the four cardinal directions and four elements of fire, earth, water and air. Deer is one of the four Year Bearers, considered one of the more powerful and intense. Deer are the pillars of stability between the earth and the sky energies. To the Maya, the Deer is a stag-like energy like the horse, and is not to be confused with the demure “Bambi” creature. Deer need to be agile because its predators are the jaguar, they need to be strong and agile. Deer have the potential to be effective day keepers and diviners. Deer are the guardians of nature and those born on this day feel most aligned when they are in nature or among their four-legged friends. The Vertical Axis of this Mayan Cross is ruled by the direction West, where the sun sets and transforms the pink, purple and dark blue colors into the black of night. The West causes us to look into the underworld of our souls, our shadow, in order to bring about change. The West is like the energy of autumn. Heart Sign: The predominant sign of your Mayan Cross, Deer A person born on the day Deer is steadfast, honest, graceful and noble. Like the king of the forest, they do well in executive roles. They are smart, have keen senses and are good listeners but, if out of alignment, will dominate to the point of imbalance. Deer demands authenticity in others yet may become too principled for their own good. They are romantics who use music, especially harmonies, and writing as seductive and creative outlets. They are surrounded by children, though they may not be their own. Deer know how to conserve resources and not waste opportunities. Conception (head) Sign: Wisdom The person born on the day Deer is engendered in Wisdom, which has them deeply connected to family life and the ancestors. This can mean that Deer are negatively affected by one of their parents. This essence, combined with the gifts of Crocodile energy, enable Deer to have a rich heart-felt connection with other beings and souls. Destiny (feet) Sign: Bird A Deer with the Bird as destiny means that their path leads to luck and fortune. The Deer may use all of their gifts to become a highly effective leader who shows, through act, word and deed, how to be in the world: authentic, uncompromisingly principled and guided by the forces of nature and spirit. The Horizontal Axis – reveals those energies that need to be balanced in order to reach the destiny; influenced by the direction East where the color is Red and the dawn of each new day comes forth like the hopeful energy of spring Left Arm – Challenges: Reed The nawal Reed brings Deer good fortune, opportunities and recognition as an authority. This energy can also make Deer take on too much in relationships and neediness for security on the home front. Right Arm – Gifts: Crocodile The energy of Crocodile orients Deer’s life to art and a search for beauty and harmony. This will balance Deer’s inflexibility with flexibility and lend an air of uniqueness to Deer. What is your Maya day-sign? - Nagual LoneWolf - 08-30-2011 Teo...this one.
