The Gaining and Storing of Chi - Intentwielder - 07-15-2013 Don Juan; “In order to corroborate the truths about awareness, we need sufficient energy” and, “Impeccability (the conservation and right use of energy) is what counts most on the warriors' quest for freedom”. Don Juan; “In order to corroborate the truths about awareness, we need sufficient energy” and, “Impeccability (the conservation and right use of energy) is what counts most on the warriors' quest for freedom”. Level of energy is certainly a key issue in all matters of personal power. The cultivation of inner silence, more than anything else, saves energy. So too does the disruption of habits, of routines, which frees up our energy so that we may deploy it in a manner that gains power, rather than dissipating it. But just as important as the saving of energy is the gaining of it. An extremely important realization for practitioners is the fact that we are literally surrounded by energy in a variety of forms. Many ancient practices are dedicated to the gaining of the vital resources which surround us, with various martial arts and meditational regimens being just a few examples. Vedic literature calls such energy “prana”, (pranayama, kundalini yoga) in Japan it is “ki” (“reiki”), in China it is “chi” (Tai chi). By whatever name it is called, this universal resource is considered the basis of all life energy. All the feelings in our bodies are based upon it, as is sexual energy and the aura, (energy body). Chi can be tapped via the intent to do so. Some refer to this as, “the gaining of chi” “The gaining of chi” may be defined as follows; “The act of drawing subatomic energy into the self and storing it there for a variety of uses”. Chi is most easily drawn where it is most plentiful. Rushing water, (especially ocean surf lines, waterfalls and rapids), fire, (campfires, direct sunlight, even candle flames) wind, (storms, strong gusts, even the relative wind produced by vehicle movement) and earth, (places of thick vegetation, power spots, veins of crystalline rock) are but a few examples. Chi is commonly drawn up through the feet, though it can also be gained via any location and chakra of the body. Not only can it be drawn into the self at will, it can be stored in the physical, energetic and even soulic bodies on a cumulative basis. The cultivation of strong chi boosts physical health greatly, accelerates healing of wounds, helps ward off and cure disease and increases the rate at which muscle mass is gained. It also acts as as psychic shield against draining influences, such as FIs' and vampiric persons who talk incessantly while saying very little. High levels of chi boost mental functions, and makes all actions of intent far more potent. Interestingly, the more chi you have, the easier it is to obtain even more of it. The ability to draw chi at will can even accelerate the process of recapitulation and greatly enhance their ability to See, (cognize) The Gaining and Storing of Chi - Intentwielder - 07-16-2013 It is a natural ability of all living things to channel and otherwise work with their chi, (life force). When an animal stretches or yawns it is flexing whole systems of the body for the purpose of gaining and redistributing chi. The same is true of human beings... it is an aspect of body knowledge stored at the level of each cells' DNA. Like animals, most people only work with their life force at an unconscious level. But when the drawing and storing of chi becomes a conscious practice, it can act to greatly accelerate all aspects of spiritual practice and personal power. Because knowledge of chi is innate, it does not take a great deal of effort to recognize it within the self. Only the mind, conditioned by materialism, stands in the way. The mind is usually best reconditioned by degrees. Through subtle observation and experimentation, the mind learns to accept what it has always secretly known....that we are literally animated by life energy, and that it can be drawn from the environment at will for very beneficial effect. The Chi-Gaining Meditation Stage 1; Preparation Go to a place in nature, preferably by a location with an abundance of chi. Wear as few clothes as possible, and stand with bare feet in a relaxed, meditative posture. Stage 2; Self awareness of body-wide feelings It is useful to start this practice by entering inner silence. Rather than focusing on various thoughts which run through the mind, focus instead on the feelings that run through the body. Scan the entire body with your awareness. Notice how there are subtle differences in feeling between one area of the body and the next. Know that ALL FEELINGS from pain and fear to joy and strength are based upon the same energy...chi. Stage 3; Breathing and visualization While maintaining your focus on Stage 1, take deep, slow in-breaths, with normal out-breaths. The body naturally gains chi during each inhalation. Inhale deeply to the bottom of the lungs, so that the chest expands to it's comfortable maximum. During the in-breath, visualize streams of white light, or miniature lightning bolts, or sparkling particles of energy flowing into your entire body from all directions. Additionally, visualize the entire body glowing brighter and brighter with stored chi, as the result of each inhalation. Conduct this practice for 3-15 minutes at a time or even longer, depending upon what your feelings lead you to do. The body knows when it has had enough at any one time. Be aware that the conscious gaining of chi is a learned skill. The ability of the practitioner to conduct this intention with proficiency, just like any other practice, grows over time. The beginner may hardly notice any effects from their first trials. Intermediate to advanced practitioners will find they are able to gather and store tremendous amounts of chi almost instantaneously, without using any elaborate process. Explanation of the stages Preparation; The practitioner should wear as few clothes as possible, primarily because most modern fabrics are chi insulators. Unnatural fibers like polyester is particularly blocking of chi flow and should be avoided. Cotton, hemp, wool and like fabrics are much better, although bare skin is by far the best, especially for the gaining of solar chi. Going barefoot is particularly important, since chi naturally flows from the earth and into the rest of the body via the feet. Self awareness of body-wide feelings; This practice is particularly important to all aspects of inner work. The entire body possesses consciousness, and all of its' parts are governed by intent. With careful observation you will note that every cubic inch of the body has an associated feeling governing it at the time of observation. I call these units of feeling, “feeling/intent elements”, because that is what they are....areas of energy vibrating at a given rate, (feeling) that are each governed by intent. Every cell in our body has consciousness and therefore intention. Groups of cells,(tissues) as collectives of consciousness, have their own state which can be felt by the practitioner. The reason that any part of the body can gather, store and even send chi, is because every part of the body has intention. Those who realize this can in effect change the state of consciousness in any part of their body, thereby making desired changes in that location. They may for instance, intend the gaining of chi in any location, raise its' vibration, increase its' clarity, transform fear and pain to strength and clarity, and so forth. Breathing and visualization; There are various yogas and martial arts practices which emphasize careful breathing awareness. Advanced practitioners learn that this is emphasized largely because of the gaining and storage of chi in the body. The exact type of visualization used in chi gaining and storage is up to the discretion of the practitioner. It is not the specific visualization which matters, it is the intent and expectation behind it which renders significant effects. The employment of visualized images when combined with intention, is known as the use of “thoughtforms”. A thoughtform is distinguished from a mere daydream, in that it is used as a tool to more effectively project intention. A thoughtform gives intent a more defined framework through which it can move awareness and energy to accomplish the desired goal. The practitioner will notice that chi can be stored anywhere in the body on a cumulative basis. In can be stored in bone and muscle. It can even be stored at the level of the cell and even the atoms of the physical body. More advanced practitioners will note that chi can also be drawn into he energy body and soul for great and cumulative effect.
