Power of Dance - Nagual Menagerie - 07-22-2017 Dancers spend many hours in the studio, perfecting their craft. Much like other masters of any trade, skilled dancers aren't made overnight. Skill is something honed over time, with dedication and persistence. For dancers, you can see their skill in their extensions, flexibility, and transitions. Muscles require time to be trained to accept a greater range of motion while developing strength and body awareness. Advanced skills can take years to master. Dancers can't fake their skill--it's not physically possible. They can certainly downplay their skill, but an esteemed dancer carries an inner confidence that shines in ways beyond anything that can be considered technique. Heart unifies the many parts of dance to become a priceless mode of self-expression. These are people who are developing their skill; the early stages of unification of mind (technique), body (range of motion, body awareness), and spirit (heart): This is someone who has dedicated many years of her life to what is visibly a passion: I enjoy observing performers in the studio over the stage. The stage is polished and the presentation of the journey. The studio is where you see beyond the curtain and are privy to the person instead of the performer. Power of Dance - Nagual Menagerie - 07-22-2017 Then there are these assholes. Collaborations between opposing styles of dance lead to ingenious partnerships. Power of Dance - serloco - 07-22-2017 Yes dance is so beautiful.. I love how music moves thru you and makes your body move. How you can 'let go' and let the music move you instead of 'trying' to movre to the music. Power of Dance - Nagual Menagerie - 07-22-2017 That **** is the dope! Love Ed, love those dance moves, the message, lol I love that Ed showed up in the video like how Stan Lee makes his appearances in his movies. I was going to touch on the part of dance where the performer becomes lost in the dance (the personality is masked) so seamlessly that the story invokes a divine sort of clarity... but I thought people wouldn't get it. I was wrong You totally touched on that aspect and that's really fucking cool. Thanks for introducing a male performer too. I'm more connected to the feminine perspective so to see it from a masculine angle is particularly unique and powerful.
Power of Dance - Nagual Menagerie - 07-22-2017 Typo (no edit feature): That sh*t is dope! Power of Dance - serloco - 07-22-2017 Yeah its pretty awesome, for sure. I often like to break out and be brave, as dancing in the past for me has made me nervous. So I would overcome my fear and walk thru town dancing everywhere I went. I love to dance, its so natural and liberating. Its like we were meant to dance. Power of Dance - rosygyro - 06-26-2018 I had a little dance for solstice.. but I found myself simply facilitating other people's energy bodies.. E.g the Goa veteran who wanted to be a six armed shakti. So I was striking out an astral space where his extra arms could wave around etc,, Personally I dance like I have a poisoned dildo in each hand and I am trying not to penetrate anybody.
