Thank you very much for the welcome post. I look forward to setting the record straight to all of the people that appreciate my Fathers work. I want to start by letting everyone know that even though my father found a man to be the sperm donor Carlos Castaneda was my father. When he would carry me around UCLA people would ask him where he got that blond, blue eyed baby, he would reply with "he is a product of my recessive genes".

I spent the first 7 years of my life from 1961 to 1968 with my father. I traveled extensively with him. Sometimes to Mexico and sometimes to Topanga Canyon. Every day was a magical journey, even just going to UCLA with him. There are some people that were close to my Father and actually were my babysitters when i was very young. There are some statements that were made to those people by one of my friends that made them choose a different path. That for them is very unfortunate. They choose to treat me as an adversary rather than an ally. I will be back soon.

I assure every doubter I am CJ Castaneda I was born in Hollywood California August 12 1961. My Father and I lived on Rosewood in Beverly Hills. I spent most every day with him a UCLA. When I wasn't with him I had a Nanny named Mrs. Schuster. The photograph that everyone uses was taken by my Mother on the steps of our apartment building at the corner of 8th and LaBrea. By the way now that my Mother has passed away I own the Copyright to that photo and just about every other adult photo of my Father there is. I have in my possession every letter that my Father wrote to my mother I also have all of my medical and school records with both my Mother and Father listed on them. I traveled to New York with my Mother and Father when Simon and Schuster first published "The Teachings of Don Juan" in 1968. I have photographs to prove it. We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. I have the one and only poster that came of f the press at UC Press that was done for the original release of my fathers first book. I have the original pen and pencil set that he wrote "The Teachings of Don Juan" with. If anyone still doubts the validity of who I am maybe you would want to ask one of my friends......Dr Wayne Dyer.....Dr. Deepak Chopra......Douglas Price Williams.....Allen Morrison.... Wanda Sue Parrott.... or a number of of other people that know who I am.
But to be honest I don't give a **** if anyone believes me or not. With any luck, I might just turn out to be as much of an enigma as my father was.
In response to a separate post:
My father and I were always taking trips, many times we traveled to Mexico, and Topanga Canyon. We were always busy going somewhere and doing something. We would travel all over the desert in his volkswagen.
I recall some of the people we met very well, not by name but by face. There was one gentleman in particular that my Father would spend the majority of his time with. I would be left at the gentleman's house with spanish speaking people or "the girls" would watch me.
I would usually be playing, and doing something else, and they would be … doing whatever they were doing. I often just went to sleep on the porch.
I do remember times when we would go down there and he would stay and I would actually sleep on a dirt floor in a house. One time I remember having a little pile of hay to sleep on.
It really doesn't matter whether or not you believe anything my Father wrote. The fact is people are still talking about my Father daily years after his departure. There is no question as to the magnitude of my Fathers impact on this world. If you have started on your own path from learning what my Father had to teach, you are well on your way. The people that are doubters spend valuable time that they could be finding their own path caught up in the attempt to discredit my father, that is caused by either their sense of self importance or lack there of. You know who you are and I am talking directly to you get over it. Move on with your life and do something positive. The majority are nothing more than pathetic individuals that have absolutely nothing better to do with their lives. If you fall into that category, what have you done to leave a legacy? Anyone continuing to post negative things about my Father after reading this truly needs help. If you would only venture out and create a profound work that you could call your own, maybe that would free you from your past. Just think how awesome that would be. Just imagine what a better place this world would be.
Isn't it interesting that 44 years after his first Book my Fathers work is still making such an impact...... and I'm sure it will continue for decades to come.
I guess that makes him the winner.
This might possibly be my last post.
I am in the process of writing a book, and maybe just maybe with any luck, decades after my death there will still be people attempting to discredit me as well. Could I ever be so lucky?
The lesson to be learned in all of this is to follow a path with heart.
My best to all of the non believers out there,
CJ Castaneda

"The lesson to be learned in all of this is to follow a path with heart"

Which has nothing whatsoever to do with "setting the record straight" as he puts it. There is no such thing as "setting the record straight" in as such as it is implied here. This is the catacombs...dark, confusing...endless. The mind plays around in this arena, and its a diversionary tactic. None of it matters. What matters is here and now and that seemingly perennial force that constantly seeks to divert us from it.

You REALLY need to let go of this notion of flyers.  The more you focus on them, the more you are creating them.

As long as CJ will be into Deepak Chopra instead of reading his fathers books (or even better the Armando Torres Encounters with Nagual book) he will get nowhere yes..
