My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-11-2009 I am posting these notes really for myself as well as sharing, So far I am up to chapter 5, I have just read the first few pages today and off the top of my head these things stand out so far from chapter one to where I am in the beginning of chapter 5 , and especially comparing notes with my ET research sort of. first off he (don juan) discusses the onion layer theory, that each dimension is like a layer of an onion and we are stuck with one layer with our current way of thinking and rationale and there are so many layers to be discovered or awakened indeed, that, I understand somewhat and have seen a similar descriptions or explanations in ET research books. he talks about the energy of souls or that souls are energy I also get that, the new term for me is "filaments" but just plain "strands" works for me too. he talks about dreaming and uses italics as in "dreams" and I am starting to think don juan is sort of talking about astral travel or meditation in a sense, perhaps a little different but where my mind is right now cant help associating it. he says being able to focus on things in your dreams is passing gate 1, the only thing I am confused about is when he says dreaming does he mean awake like meditation or asleep or both or is it another way of saying meditation but he differentiates them somewhere in chapter 4. he describes things that are not from this world or the dream world as "alien" which I am starting to think is not far off the mark. the assemblage point is usually arms legth from the back right shoulder, shaped like an egg or a circle, this I am trying to wrap my mind around, when I figure out a good way to explain it to myself I will post it. he says sorcerers have been around 3000 to 7000 years ago, which others in ET research say is about a couple of thousand years after the time (people who describe) the destruction atlantis and lumeria happened, and coincidentally they also were in their prime of mastering the energy spectrum within themselves. an interesting fact is I have come to realize even in the descriptions of the most technologically advance civilizations that possibly exist (which I have no doubts of), they still always seem to have shamans, starting to make serious sense to me! thats it for now, I will start posting more stuff as I go, feel free to respond, but as I said, these are just notes for me to refer to later. and I do plan on reading the book a few more times for it to really sink in and I still think 9 is the magic number based on my ET research, like 9 planets revolve around every sun for example and I am sure many other things apply. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-11-2009 note to self, Always remember FREEDOM is the goal! My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - bluedreamer - 12-11-2009 Hey, someguy, it's cool you are posting your notes here, thanks, a great idea! My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - bluedreamer - 12-11-2009 or rather...great action! My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-16-2009 I realized today in chapter 5 that dreaming is a small part of what don juan was really trying to teach carlos, at least that is todays conclusion. now I want to finish this book to move on to start the big picture. he covers inorganic beings because carlos was obsessed with them and it actually steered him away from finding freedom and put him on a path of enslavement. inorganic beings are in the dream world reality and they are slow and still which don juan likens to trees, they draw you in and try to keep you hooked like a drug where knowledge of the dream world is the substance, they are an attachment and can attach to your energy, it is best to steer clear from them and especially steer your intentions clear, I am suspicious they are trapped themselves. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-16-2009 Just finished chapters 6 and 7, now to recap, the inorganic beings have 3 types, the tunnels, the blobs of energy and I think a different type of moving energy blobs that carlos described as insect like as far as movement. The emissaries cant lie, but they can hold out, the inorganic's can not only capture your energy but they can capture you physically if you give them your energy. but at this point I really dont feel I learned much, I think I am going to have to read this book a few times and the others as well to get a grasp on what I am learning or think I might be learning. he also describes that the inorganic beings can materialize and there is a possibility to save the people that are trapped in there. in the end of chapter 7 don juan calls carlos a nagual the question I have is there a way to measure or gauge one's energy in terms of dreaming My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - rasselon.nagual - 12-17-2009 From what I've observed in my dreams, (They have always been "Greys" for me. I've only recently realized they are IBs) just being in their presence gives an energy boost, but until we learn to lucid dream it's not very useful. I do recognize them sometimes just by the feeling of them, even though they may be in disguise. My lucid moments have been of very short duration, but always when they were around. A gauge of one's energy level, I suppose would be measured by what one is able to do in dreaming while lucid. Everything we do in our daily lives, consumes ALL our excess energy. As I see it, the books are a guide to learn to stop wasting some of that energy so we can have enough to become lucid dreamers and what to do with that lucidity. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-17-2009 Thanks rasselon, I decided I am going to chill out and not pre judge the book anymore, I read part of chapter 8 and I am starting to get a sense that it took years for him to master this stuff, and I am just at the beginnings, of course I hope that things go faster for me but who knows. you definitely gave me a new perspective about wasting my energy, which I appreciate! I am not starting a new book until I finish this one. I will keep posting my notes here. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-18-2009 Some more notes, passing the first gate is being able to focus on something which I may have did last night, my hand, also, don juan says that the inorganics are agents and they come as agents disguised as family and friends, since I have started being able to remember my dreams it seems there is always a family member or friend there which now makes me suspicious, the thing about last nights dream is that it had an old friend there as well as family, but what made this different is in last nights dream when parting ways with my friend, I gave him a hug to tell him I missed him and when he hugged me back he told me he missed me too but his voice changed, it sounded like audio slowed down almost like it was in slow motion, so I am wondering if there is a possibility an inorganic was trying for my energy and as far as seeing my hand, I looked at it more than once very briefly and I am wondering if it counts that I had an object in my hand which was an iphone, but I did look at it a couple of times and that was my intention and last thought before I went to sleep. I woke up a little nervous and could not put my finger on why since there was nothing nightmarish about the dream. I would like to reach out for some feedback on this post, any feedback or opinion is appreciated. especially from a nagual. Thanks! My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - Nagual LoneWolf - 12-19-2009 Parents and siblings in dreams are often used by inorganics who do not want to scare you or do not want to have contact with you . Inorganics (a great majority) do not want contact with "most" humans in dreaming.. often they can be detected by pointing your hand at them or using your voice to call them out. I will always say trust your intuition regarding dreams. If you feel something then you likely felt something that was what you thought it was. Dreamers who are on this path are brighter than others and attract often inorganics, allies and such who want contact. They will seduce you, kill you, capture you and free you and not in that order. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-19-2009 thanks for responding nagual, Like I said, family and friends have been in my dreams, and almost daily for the last couple of months, even before I started reading the book, the one from yesterday night hugged me and when he spoke his voice became very low and slow like I said in the previous post and it did have a weird feeling to it, I do not want these things in my dreams, my intent last night was they leave me alone and there was no family in my dreams last night, but there was leprechauns appearing which was weird but it did not scare me and there was a female who wanted to seduce me last night too, but I was more annoyed than anything with her and turned her down, haha. do you think I passed the first gate since I saw my hands? that was my main intent, but there was an iphone in my hand though when I looked at them. also, does this make me your student now? My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - Nagual LoneWolf - 12-19-2009 The hands are a exercise to make one aware they are dreaming, help them become lucid. Though some call this a gate, I do not.A ipone may be needed in case you want to text someone while in another world where they could take you. Inorganics can take us places we could never find on our own. A student? We shall see. We shall see. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-19-2009 Yeah, I think I am getting ahead of myself again, but seeing my hands did happen again, except my hands were on a steering wheel in yesterdays dream while driving in the dream, rasselon told me I need to focus on my hands, then something else and go back to my hands which I remember reading so I think I am not quite there yet. yes, the iphone can come in handy to text the other world indeed, hahaha So inorganics, are they friend or foe? I get the vibe they are foe since they can kill me or hold me hostage or enslave me in their world as well as the feeding off peoples energy thing, but I remember don juan saying the old sorcerer's got what they needed from them and did not stay attached which was confusing because it comes down to control I think at that point, either you keep it or give it away, I am just wondering if I should avoid them all together or just mingle, but that still seems dangerous. I am a student, and I suppose the teacher is a book at this point, perhaps I should look at it that this community (message board) is the teacher(s)? I am not looking for a good grade like I am at school though, haha, this is life and true freedom is the goal, I feel confident though my journey will bring me to new places I haven't dreamed of. I am almost finished with the stalking the stalkers chapter of the book, I should finish the book very soon, and I think I am going to read it again before I move on. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - Nagual LoneWolf - 12-20-2009 Someguy....a teacher is best accessed at a personal issue. Here I and others have been guides. Teachers are found everywhere. In dreams. In animals. In trees. In other worlds. Beware the teacher who wants money from you or to invest in his teaching or materials. Inorganics have always been my friends and have played an important part of my life. I have good ones though..(smile). I have fought with the dark powerful ones and came through the night alive. Barely. Still that is life as I know it. Mingling with them can be fun as they will take you to worlds you will not be able to describe. I have read all the books many many times... each one has mysteries and secrets and hidden agendas. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-20-2009 Thanks Nagual sounds good, that's what I needed to hear, If I have a personal issue I will reach out here as I have done, like if the iphone text doesn't get to the intended recipient, haha. I feel better about the inorganics now, there is good and bad, light and dark, etc, so I guess in my terms (right now) its the same as going to a heavy metal show, there's always the cool people and the not so cool, or in the broader spectrum it is the same as living life on earth, there are the nice people and the shitty scumbags that may approach. And don't worry, my NYC instincts would raise a flag and not let anyone sucker me out of money to teach me anything, I have learned those lessons already in life in general and sure there may be more lessons to come, haha, if it's free, it's for me - cant have it any other way, haha Thanks again for responding my friend. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - Nagual LoneWolf - 12-21-2009 Not a problem NYC warrior. You have the right attitude and the open mind to go with it. Friendship is important when we face infinity. Thus a friend is someone that may join me/us out there where freedom awaits. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-21-2009 Thanks again Nagual, I agree friendship is very important as well as trusting the process, even if it isn't laid out for you in an easy and clear manor, haha. I think we are already in infinity as far as our "energy beings" or some say our "souls" or our "inner self", whatever its called, I think we are living in infinity even now. I just think our conscious is not fully aware and that is what this learning / journey is all about for me. some say in the ET research field that these human bodies of ours double as prison cells and in my opinion that is correct unless we learn ourselves to unlock the door to freedom which is possible if we learn to lift the veil and smoke screens. In my opinion, when people learn to accept the reality that there is much more to life as a human or beyond that as an energy body, and that the universe is a tremendous place that is waiting for us all, they will seek out those inner abilities we all have and try to unlock them and I feel I accept the reality that there is more and now I want to experience it, true freedom that no one or thing could ever take away. I used to think playing my guitar or riding my skateboard was something that no one could take away until I realized if I broke my legs or fingers that is not so, if all I had left was my conscious, there is where freedom must be found and this is clear to me, just getting there is something I am trying to figure out and will have no problem sharing. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - Guest - 12-23-2009 someguy, i've been watching your thread here and i wish you the best in all of your travels. one thing you mention seems to be a common concern for many others is the inorganic beings. i hope you will allow me to use your post to make a recommendation for yourself or anyone else who is harboring concern over the inorganic beings. i am by no means an expert, but i have been dreaming with them for a little while and this is what i can tell you to begin with: first - the inorganic beings exist within a realm of possibilities, just as humans do. they are not all good or all bad. the problem is, they're not human, so when they do some hideous thing in front of you, it could be very easy to label them "evil" or "bad". second - it is not going to be up to you whether to have relations with them or not. it is their choice. third - if you are concerned about dealing with the inorganic beings the best thing to do before you meet them is the recapitulation and working towards sobriety via a path such as don Juans "Warrior's Path". You'd rather have a parachute and not need to use it than need it and not have one, right? Same principle. if you are prepared and never encounter them, then worst case scenario is you're an extremely self-aware person. four - be aware that the inorganic beings are not going to behave or act as humans would....because they're not human. they can do some really.....creepy things. it is part of the struggle we are all engaged in not to look at those things from our limited human perspective. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - someguy - 12-24-2009 Hey Mothsdream, I definitely appreciate your input and I am concerned about those inorganics and I will keep your advice in mind, and I am not all that concerned whether they are human though or not, based on where my research has lead me, the universe is a huge place and there are many non-humans out there indeed whether on the 3D plane or 4D and beyond, such as what some call light beings, to be honest I liken or compare the inorganics to the grays (ET's) because many experiencers say they come in their dreams and do things to them in that dream world so to speak, in my opinion everything seems to have some kind of technology behind it including the subject at hand which is dreams, if you look at a human, it is perhaps one of the most technological things there is and from my research there are many kinds that have different capabilities, for some human or non-human there is no right or wrong or good or bad, so I do understand what your saying about appearances, but I do believe in different driving forces or motivations such as love, hate, need, greed, ignorance, hunger and so on which is something I believe is possible with any type of inorganic, I dont think there is just one kind but that is my opinion of course. As far as my notes on the book, For me it is not hard to believe in something that we cannot see, such as wind, radio waves, sound, electric currents and so on and that same theory would go for other dimensions and attentions, just because I cannot see them does not mean they are not there, I think your right, it is better to be prepared than not. I understand there is no choice on our limited end (for now), perhaps it comes down to attraction, like fishing either for us or them, our bait or their bait and who cast the line (or filament) but either way I want to be prepared and I dont want to be in a box of one finalized belief. I finished the book today and came to realize he only describes four gates of dreaming, a little bit of a let down for me, I must say I am intrigued with the whole shape shifting thing, from man to woman, but there is also where I think a little different, I think that is too shallow of a description from carlos or don juan, I think perhaps to think in terms of feminine or masculine and not man or woman, that is too simple. anyway, I am going to move on to other dreaming books, my goal is taking control of my dreams while in the dreaming state as well as astral travel or astral projection, I want to be aware of myself while I am dreaming and direct myself and not let the stream take me where it may or at least be able to swim in the stream if that makes sense. anyway, thanks everyone for your input so far, I will continue to put more notes in here, as far as this book goes, perhaps I will start a new thread on just plain dreaming research. My Notes from The Art of Dreaming book - rasselon.nagual - 12-24-2009 Having re-read "The Art of Dreaming" and "The Power of Silence", I'd recommend the later be read before the former as it deals with shifts of awareness, which can be more practically applied in our daily lives.
