Articles on Shamanic Dreaming - Mornings Son - 06-10-2009 Interesting guy this moss see more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Moss Found this info from one of his books on Amazon Dreamways of the Iroquois: Honouring the Secret Wishes of the Soul also bought Synopsis The ancient teachings of the Iroquois people is that dreams are experiences of the soul in which we may travel outside the body, across time and space, and into other dimensions - or receive visitations from ancestors or spiritual guides. Dreams, also, reveal the wishes of the soul, calling us to move beyond our ego agendas and the web of other peoples projections into a deeper, more spirited life. They call us to remember our sacred contacts and reclaim the knowledge that belonged to us, on levels of soul and spirit, before we entered our present life experience. In dreams we also discover where our vital soul energy may have gone missing - through pain, trauma or heartbreak - and how to get it back. Robert Moss was called to these ways when he started dreaming in a language he did not know, which proved to be an early form of the Mohawk Iroquois language. From his personal experiences, he developed a spirited approach to dreaming and living that he calls Active Dreaming. Dreamways Of The Iroquois is at once a spiritual odyssey, a tribute to the deep wisdom of the First Peoples, a guide to healing our lives through dreamwork, and an invitation to soul recovery. Articles on Shamanic Dreaming - dreamgirl - 06-17-2009 Hey all, I can't wait to check out this Robert Moss stuff, I have never heard of him. My selection of books for dreaming are not Shamanic per se, but they are really good, especially if you are sort of in a dreaming slump. Check out Dr. Ann Faraday, she wrote in the 1970's, and I love old books from this time. Reading her books, "The Dream Game" and "Dream Power" really gave me a new way of approaching my dreaming. As for how I developed my dreaming practices in the past was that I read Castaneda's books and just used anything that was suggested, usually hidden among a lot of dialog. I particularly used anything La Gorda said - and for me it worked, but this is a very hit or miss way of going about dreaming. I never had much luck with trying to find my hands, and since I don't have a penis, well that suggestion I had to leave behind. I have had luck on focusing on my womb while drifting off to sleep.
