Seeing yourself in dreaming - Aderfist - 08-22-2018

I've seen myself many times in dreaming and gotten insights about flaws, attributes, etc. There's a passage in one of Carlos' books in which Don Juan talks about how no one is ever aware of being in two places at once for that would entail facing the self, the double, and the one who does that is a dead sorcerer. I feel like I'm misinterpreting this piece of advice, considering own experiences. Any thoughts on this?

Well I have been i two places at once, and have split my consciousness many times. At first it hurt me to have two minds, but over time I learned to do it correctly at which time it became amazing. Two truths.

It is an extreme challenge for me to be conscious of multiple presences. Momentarily, yes, but to hold it.... no. Sometimes when assuming the position of the double it's possible to observe multiple puppets we have activated, but that's not the same.

There's another passage where he says that a warrior already considers himself as dead so...
