Entry 1: Max -- The Little Plant that Could

Figured I ought to make a blog-like thing about Max because I love him so.  This is Max--an off-shoot from a conversation I was having with Serloco about plants and trees.  Max was born in an itty bitty container with a humidity dome but it was far too small to contain his wild spirit.  I transplanted him into this halfway house until I could figure out more permanent arrangements.  In all honesty, I didn't know what to do with him.  I had no plan.

The brief research I did on Venus Fly Traps instructed me to give it non-fertilized crappy soil and let it have rain water because tap water had too many minerals... perfect.  A death-eater that likes crappy stuff.  MAX IS PERFECT FOR ME!

Lol, half way house. hehehe. Max looks cool. I see he had some flies recently and is a happy camper. Weird he doesnt want food and nourishment. He must have learned lessons from you and the warriors way. No needs.. He must be a tough guy.

If only you could grow a "Mars Jehovas WItness Trap".

I have yet to figure out a way to ward off the invasive religious folk who want me to believe in their imaginary friend.  I like mine plenty, I don't want theirs.  I also need to work out an appropriate humidity dome thingy for Max...and long-term living arrangements.  What was I thinking?

Entry 2: Mother Nature, Serial Killer, Strikes Again

I can't even begin to tell you how tired I am of freak hail storms in the middle of every season except winter.  A bunch of my flowers and stuff got hit and, of course, my pet plant was slaughtered.  I'm not even surprised anymore.  Everything I love is touched, marked really, by tragedy.

Whatever.

I was out of the house when the hail hit and came home to this lovely image of Max crippled, beheaded, and drowning in his own soil.  Yes, it was sad.  I didn't even have him long.  I chalked it up to him being dead and let him sit there in his own mess for a couple hours before I decided to attempt a rescue.

After draining the soil I did up a new pot for him, that has drain holes and stuck him in dry soil.  His jaws of life were ripped from him but maybe the roots survived.  I did spot a new little bud poking up through the soil so . . . there's hope.

Max now resides indoors, in a better pot, on the kitchen table so I can keep a close eye on him until he regains some strength.

For fucks sake.

Awwww.... That's heart breaking. I would rinse him off a lil better and other then that he could recover. Lots of green there. I would also get some seran wrap and make a dome for him. Good luck.

I will be sure to send Max some healing energies as well. I wish I could see him tho, it would help a lot better.

Max is strong, a fighter.
