I thought someone would have commented on this...but maybe its too obscure.
Here's what happened. The day I posted this, I originally had went looking for a cute monkey king picture...to put in another thread. I had that image of cute in my mind when on google images. I saw some not so cute monkeys, was intrigued and followed one link. It said "The Monkey King shouldn’t be cute." Spirit answering me. So I absorbed the lesson.
What boundary is crossed? The one of our own direct link to Spirit, and into the social mechanisms. What lures us?...the idea of fulfilling an ego desire...so we are tricked to follow the monkey, ...before we know it we are in another vibration, a wasteful and unproductive immersion in ego games.
Examples we all know of...the tugs of war in politics, talks shows, reality tv dramas, those types of interactions. Monkey's play that's not so cute.
I do like the playful monkey though, believe in its magic, to come in and make us laugh when we are being too serious. So this is just another aspect here of trickster. When its not applied productively. And honestly, its how we learn what not to do, so it needs to first occur, we need to be involved in it to see that it's not worthwhile for us after all.

Yes, I have read a while back of a scary monkey inorganic that appears in astral realm. I have seen it too, materialize one night as random images pass through...Eilias has a name for that (posted in dream forum)...the pre-dream state. Since I saw that monkey face one night, that gives this here more validity for me, and I do think it has inorganic substance (containment) and can act on its own...try to trick us. Whether or not we created it is not the issue for me, its more the idea of not being in its influence.

What's really hard to come to terms with is our socialization is really chock full of this, we think we know the world as a warrior, but the social world is very overwhelming. To be in the vantage of a warrior is very humbling, so humbling there is a loss, failure of social words to describe.
The social world, by contrast, is so accessible, so easy, like ready made microwave meals. The trickster, monkey king is our helper, in the most inexplicable way.

And my last post here clarifies an indication received yesterday. I have a monkey mask propped up in my dining room. I looked at it yesterday and it said to me "I'm an ally for Spirit, remember?" and then I became confused by this contradiction of what I said here initially and what was said to me yesterday...and that last post conveys it, yes, it is an ally, the trickster is a liberator...come to free...those who had been caught up already and didn't know it. It merely shows what the trick is.

and that reminds me of a debate you and I had once when I said that the 'devil' is the gatekeeper of heaven...think you alluded to that in another post recently, the debate took place because of course on a higher turn of the spiral there is no 'gate' and no 'devil'.....and you were making that point coming from the perspective of nonduality.
I like the idea of the dark side having a useful evolutionary purpose, not to be feared, just dealt with in the right way, and then it becomes an ally.

Yes, its really strange...its like when we see it as evil, that's when the FI has got us so to speak...at the time we least expect it or think its the case.

during this time we are being tricked by...what? I dunno, it seems like we do it, the trickster shows us our tricks, our mind, our illusions, delusions, pride...on and on. Its not us, but there it is in the mix of things, and when we get free of it we are okey dokey, smooth sailing. During this time we are grateful for this monkey, its loses its harshness, its villainy, becomes angelic.
Well, that debate was so long ago...keep in mind I am changing so fast I cannot keep up with all the contradictions as I learn and learn new ways to express. I'm going to stay on the pinnacle of truth, the fact that it changes is just par for course.

Hi...this topic was originally in Foreign Installation...but I decided to move it because honestly I began putting so many song lyrics into the thread it became more suited for Tone forum. But still the subject is the foreign installation.
I find music is something I always used to stalk the FI. For one, many lyrics 'fit' what I am feeling, and on another point, the power of the music...bass, drum...like a heart beat, melody, mood of warrior, voice..all fit nicely with gathering intent against it. Music to me is like 'power music'...helps on the path...always has since I was a teen.

...its hard to get Poe's music in mainstream...as she is currently on a boycott until her record label contract expires...she was not happy with how they were marketing her so she stopped performing/promoting herself. I think the contract expires this year. She is extremely talented, innovative. (can you tell I like her?)
Her album "Haunted" came out in 2000, around the time LW was starting his website to inform abotu the fi. Haunted is all abotu the fi in many ways...overcoming it. Her (Poe's) interpretation of it in her life.
