I have given that some thought.
From what I found in the Castaneda books , I have assumed that going into an 'afterlife' is achieved by Dreaming.
That is , when the body is done in this life, consciousness jumps into an alternative world of the Dream, and life goes on.
I don't know if that's the case , just a guess on my part.
The Nagual way may be the only indication of the existence of an afterlife.
All other 'theologies' are pointing to the idea that these things, such as the nature of 'God' , or even if there is God , is beyond human understanding .
The Iris Dement song , 'Let the Mystery Be' , is symbolic of this view.
Most certainly , those of today's religions , who claim to know the mind of their god and the afterlife , and will kill those they consider heretics, are really quite insane.
