Here's how I've noticed it.
If the moment calls for defense the well honed and (sometimes) the lucky gives it, when a quiet word is due, it comes. An example, a night I was in the moment:
I was painting with a friend in the garage. My friend needed to go get some brushes or something so off he went and I kept on painting. The doors were closed. After my friend had been gone maybe twenty or thirty minutes someone banged into the door with their body, I could see the door bend in. I picked up the first best thing I found, a near by long copper pipe and let out a loud and sharp hey! I went to the door ready to attack and yelled "Who is it?" Turns out it was my friend, a friend who likes to shock and challenge people and an arrogant sob. He said "its me" I let him have it for awhile(not with the pipe) and he told me he almost **** his pants when he heard me pick up the pipe and yell. Later that night I realized it was a good test and told him so while still being angry with him . I had some personal power that night. I miss that sob sometimes too but he's too arrogant to talk to me anymore: fool of a thousand dogs.
It could also be a Love dance when some cantankerous fool(s) is grilling you like a school teacher for a power trip while on chat, you tell them you'll be right back and make the dance and when you come back the dogs of war have lost their teeth for it...for awhile--and that all without planning because another friend on chat slipped you a beautiful vidsong and the minute of the music was the minute of the dance was the minute you took the break then danced for Love's war.
It could be any other imaginable set of circumstances which timely action arises from from within, it doesn't arise from any ideas you have about what right action is.
The stance of a warrior is this; not ideas.
The ideal anyway, don't know anyone acting from that place all the time, think I met one guy who seemed close.
~And these are become ideals written in the realm of the movement of ideas...
