I thought some is common knowledge, but since it does not seem so, I decided to put it here too:
bold text done like this (without space bars in square brackets): [ b]bold text[ /b]
italics text: [ i]italics text[ /i]
underlined text: [ u]underlined text[ /u]
[ center]centered text[ /center]: centered text
the above can also be done with angle brackets it works too, but when one wants to edit such a post one finds that they have disappeared and to get a similar looking edit result one has to redo them. which is a bother.
P.S. I still got no clue how to get the different font styles to work...
