Thanks for the input. I think it's really pretty simple. If someone is being inappropriately "verbose" under ANY nickname, ban them by their IP. Won't stop them from taking up a new nickname from another computer, but may slow them down.
One of the 4 agreements that I happen to agree with (heh) is "Be impeccable with your word." If someone can't make a concise post to present their point of view, they aren't being impeccable with their word. That's what I was constantly talking to Scout 1 about in PMs and on the body of the forum as well. If it takes someone 10 posts to say what needed to be said in 1... something's wrong with the poster, and no amount of moderation is going to fix that. Maybe medication.
