Glance, always blowing sunshine up ppls ... dark spaces.
This brings up a question of ethics. When someone is being naughty, do we meet naughty with naughty, naughty with nice, or naughty with indifference?
We hit all those in this case. None are successful at easing the irritability. Are we going through the motions by saying something or nothing? We're just a bunch of voices, singing in our own key. Also, why did we care enough to offer good advice? Because we care about her or is it that we care about ourselves? When she tossed our concern for her aside, I wonder how we each felt, seeing that.
