Who is this pied piper anyway? He's just a dude, in a weird outfit, who shows up and claims to be able to fix the town. Mayor says yes, fix this sht! PP does and bam! Town be fixed!
Then the mayor says no payment is coming. PP takes a different form of payment to settle the exchange. He took the legacy. He brought sorrow to the town and the blame fell on the shoulders of the mayor who brought them their suffering. The people chose their leader wrong :*( The mayor led them into the fire. Bad mayor!
Now what happened to the children? Maybe PP drowned them in the river. Maybe he took them to a better town that was run by a respectable mayor. Who knows! It's a mystery.
In Beauty and the Beast all the servants and the Prince were returned to normal once they all learned a bit of humility and love. What's done can be undone.
But unless you understand how fairytales work (in our case, MILABS), one must do the inner work. It's an opportunity to refocus and do things in a better way.
