I'm genuinely surprised at how hard it is to explain what I mean by this.
Growing your own food, ok. But buying seeds, not ok. If this was a multiyear project I'd let you buy seeds the first year, probably.
Trade doesn't count if it's for something they needed money to produce, because that's still using money, by using someone else to use the money for you.
