If it's helpful, the Greek word techné just means a skill. Like making shoes was "technology". It's taken on a meaning these days like it DEFINITELY means robots, lol, robots robots robots, but I don't know, maybe it also means time travel. Or maybe it means making really GREAT shoes, I don't know. But my experience is that "technology" starts way earlier than people usually give it credit for. You say "tech" at people they just think the internet. And that's fine but... making shoes is important too.
