Turns out I had to do much more adjusting than that!!!
I still did not have the song accurately in pitch and I learned, the hard way,

that Hendrix, on some songs, would tune his guitar ONE STEP LOWER

This is one of those songs. 



So I had to bring the song from Eb to E

then I had to fine tune it so that it will be in tune with a standard tuned guitar

It took a crazy amount of time to get it right and I learned one major thing



THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH THE FENDER STARCASTER GUITAR

IS NOT THE PICKUPS

IT'S THE TUNING!!!!

SO THE NEW LOCKING TUNING MACHINE HEADS,

THE NEW NUT AND STRING TREES ARE MUCH MORE IMPORTANT

THAN THE PICKUPS ON THE STARCASTER GUITAR!!


Oh, I also took out the middle part that I have never liked

and always felt it ruined the beauty of the song

You'll know that part I took out when you hear it

"lazy minded fool" part
