I'm learning, again, from the Spirit that

in order for the lead guitar breaks to be especially unique

they MUST be based on the melody line of the song

that makes THAT PARTICULAR SONG unique in all the world



Unless this is done what I end up with is a generic lead break

that I have adapted to the song and that is disrespectful of the song



I should ALWAYS have respect for the melody line of the song

or I should not play the song at all.
