Many neuroscientists in the related area no longer believe in free will. The neurons or whatever are in place (3-4 seconds prior), and the synapses fire before conscious thought. Akin to Einstein, "we have no more free will than a rock."
Like controlled folly, these have ignored the findings so as not to effect their lives. This view is held by those with various neyroscience disciplines and diverse tests. Serloco says that one way or the other is simply the view you uphold. One can intend altogether differently. This amounts to solpsism, which is not to criticize the point.
Believing in believing becomes crucial to whatever flavor of controlled folly. Shaking my head.
