Priests molest children. A criminal steals a drug treatment to save a dying parent. A child steals a loaf of bread to feed their starving sibling. A man murders another to defend his household. later finding out the intruder was his adult son sneaking back into the house because he forgot his keys and didn't want to wake anyone. People do 'bad' things, that doesn't mean they always deserve to be punished. Punishing people for being 'bad' and blessing those who are 'good' is a very.... gray process. It's not as simple as one thinks...that's why it's good to do neither
