Yes experimentation and experience, and some it comes from books and internet. I have already bought some herbs and they are doing great. I am waiting on a tea strainer and mortar and pestle to start with my youth potions. I am excited for that.
How have I worked with the plant spirits? I have learned to rework the pattern of the plant spirits. Fluidity is key and once there you can dream properties into the plants. I also, while enjoying the free canvas of reality have even conjured special plants and commanded the properties int reality. I talk to my plants and give them a voice and a perception of their very own. I work with many nature spirits and allies. It has been quite a rewarding experience. There is nothing like seeing a flower smile or embrace your loving touch with a loving touch of its own. I teach my plants how to heal diseases and deal better with pests as well as have them move with telekinesis. They often move in human like gestures for me. My trees are one with the wind and they can summon the wind to move for me. They cast perceptual gestures for me and show me their thoughts and feelings.
