Something that I am again noticing while reading on pharmacology is that they are baffled by some of the effectiveness that plants have when interacting with the body. It shows me that their working knowledge of chemistry is limited compared to mother earth. I see also that this lack of understanding leaves many in scepticism as to the plants proof. Its like on one hand they find all these amazing chemicals in st johns wort, chemicals that do amazing things to the brain, and yet since it has very limited side effects they discard them as findings because they just cant BELIEVE that a plant can be so effective at relieving depression with no side effects even tho they have proof that it is doing so. Another thing I noticed is that just because ginkgo biloba leaves the bloodflow so rapidly that they believe it has no effect. That just stupid!! I mean the chemicals could alter other chemicals int he body while its in the body, and the chemicals could also be altered from their original states. It just shows me how dumb people are. BTW Ginkgo is proven now to aid and enhance cognitive function as well as aid memory impairments. The book I am reading that discounted ginkgo was from 2009 and yet the trials were done after that which proved it's effectiveness. It funny because again in the book they are obviously encountering positive pharmacodynamics and yet they discount it nontheless based on their stupidity and lack of understanding. I knew it was wrong too. But they didnt. Of course the book I am reading now is a book about the pharmacology of plants. I dont trust pharmacology all that much although what I am learning shows promise for the future. I just wish this knowledge was in the right hands and not being controlled by big pharma.
