Me and various allies can already control people's beliefs, thoughts, and know and so the infiltrator can play subterfuge and misinformation. If the enemy catches on and knows that he is losing power or wonders why the failed attempts at magic and ability have failed the infiltrator can blame other enemies, even turning enemy against enemy, feeding and playing on paranoia. Of course the true reason for the attack will remain secret and unknown. If all else fails then the infiltrator will have a secret forget mode, where the memory is wiped clean from the mind as well as the memory of having your memory wiped. Memory alteration is the latest add on feature. Re-programming the conscious mind is not enough, the infiltrator also works hidden deep within the subconsciousness, shielded from all active awareness while it does its work.
