Yes but the media paints a pretty awful picture of schizophrenics. I can't tell hardly anyone I have the illness or I get judged and treated poorly.
Yep. The stigma of mental disorders is severe. Even psychologists hold a stigma toward other psychologists who have been diagnosed with a mental disorder. Psychologists often hide their own mental disorder from one another because it can impact publication in journals and peer support. It's sad that even educated and informed professionals in the field itself are vulnerable to this effect.
