Another way of working with insects is mutation. I used to have many mosquitos in these parts. Everywhere you went youd get eaten alive. One day I cast a few spells and transformed them into various other forms of insects. Quite possibly some new genus', or that species.
I just went out to my tent and there was this huge insect in there with this gigantic stinger. I was like NO WAY DUDE!!! I then rolled over and imagined the stinger transforming and sure enough another look and it was gone. POOF!! Allakazam!
