Impression is, why wait until after the shift in order to face my shortcomings/egoic traits, knowing this?
Feeling is to pare down and burn those traits right here in the tonal as they emerge from one moment to the next, as best I can, in the light of awareness.
And then, as less of me that impedes is there to commandeer my awareness/energy, the shift into the nagual will transpire smoothly and effortlessly, in its own time and of its own impetus, slowly but surely.
It seems there is something of greed within me that compels the urge to outpace myself....to seek the shift before the transformation (in order to escape, as you say).
My feeling is, if I can transform, then the shift will naturally proceed from that state, without aberration.
