You bounce around a bit in this one, serloco, so I'm going to try to put it so that idiots, (eg, me), can more easily follow along.
First, you never defined thinking. It sounds as if you're describing reaching out with one's awareness for information. That seems a fine enough definition for here without getting too fussy about it, but it's best to have it stated so it's more clear what we're discussing.Try focusing the direction of your attention. Focus and think on silent
knowledge, truth, or wisdom. Then as you focus you will see that the
thoughts forming come fro the direction you are focusing towards. Focus
and intend perfection and your thoughts will then align to the direction
and flow of your attention. Attention can indeed be focus to any direction and goal.Is there any specific direction that you prefer when focusing your attention?
When I try to reach out with my awareness for information such as the answer to a riddle I'm working on I usually go into somewhat of a "search mode", which feels like scanning a big sphere around my head. Then eventually I find a point which "lights up" and I know that's where the answer is. From there, it's a matter of concentrating on it and looking for the path to get there, which always ends up being a straight line directly there in the end. Forming that line is a bit involved though, it means getting all the points between me and the lit up point to "light up" as well. Sometimes there's a lot of points that need to be "shifted" out of the way to create this path, especially when the lit up point is something that runs contrary to my worldview. As a point of potential note when I was a kid I had a more flexible worldview and finding a point I had to work to get to was more rare. On the other hand, back then the point that originally lit up would be much more likely to be "incorrect", (as in not fit in with consensus reality). I guess this suggests that "the sphere" around my head I'm searching in has information as a result of my life's attempts to understand consensus reality. When I was younger, I could easily find a path that led to the answer of 5 when asked "what is 2+2?". Now, some of that flexibility has been traded for accuracy within consensus reality. That's a neat thing to know about this meta-model I'm using which I never noticed before.
Back to the process though, (searching for the lit up point and finding the path to it). At the end of the process, when it works, I know exactly how to get from where I start, (being presented the riddle for example), to the point. And I can do so with words, which I attribute to practice and having studied logic, which seems to directly help in analyzing paths. One can reach the answer with words, which logic teaches you how to do, or one can reach it energetically. But when one is doing it with words one is also doing it energetically so to practice reaching an answer through logic is to simultaneously practice finding the energetic path to your answer. Furthermore once I've found the path for me it's usually pretty easy to go find where someone else is at and show them the path from where they are as well.
When the process doesn't work it simply means I didn't find the answer. Of course the question then would be, why not? I can easily think of times I didn't put enough effort into it. Sometimes this was because I just lacked the energy for it, or the interest in doing it. But other times I wouldn't really try at all out of an assumption that I couldn't answer the question. Either because I didn't have enough information or because I thought the question itself couldn't be answered. For example, a question like "what's going to happen at 12:35 PM next Tuesday?" I wouldn't try to answer, unfairly dismissing it out of hand. Now I'm wondering if there really is any answer the process couldn't find, given enough effort. Perhaps I'll try tackling a question like that one about next Tuesday soon.instead seek the perfection and wisdom and knowledge that stems from the source of all creation.
Let's keep this about the art of thinking, stuff we can do, rather than from where all good things stem. Perhaps when we find the boundaries of what thinking we can do on our own then we should look into petitioning the source of all creation, but to do so now is getting way ahead of ourselves.Let me elaborate on knowledge. A revamp. Awareness is crucial here. If
you have knowledge of how the mind works then you are setting your mind
to work that way. A fool will say to err is to be human, but a genius
will say that man can reach and touch perfection. WIth this knowledge,
this belief, the sky is the limit.Agreed, and I think sports analogies easily demonstrate it. Those who are confident and focusing on how to do well and score more will be better players than those who are timid and convinced that they will screw up.
If your knowledge says that the mind's thoughts are created solely in
yourself then you have closed the doors to ideas like channeling
awareness form the source of creation. Most people assume any thoughts in their minds to be their own creations, but this is demonstrably false. Sending your awareness into other's minds, (the source of creation's or anyone else's), to read them is possible, and putting thoughts in there can be done as well. That's probably a worthy subject for investigation on it's own, but it might be a distraction to get deep into that here.If you believe that your mind connects to the world around you then you open the door to that outcome, that feat. One more thing to add to this. It doesn't feel to me like it's just my belief that allows it. Not anymore than say, turning a knob and pulling will open a door because I believe it will. It's only that if a person is so stubborn in their belief that the door won't open that they will not attempt to turn the knob and pull that they will have to suffer the closed door.
WHen you think my attenion focused on another being makes their thoughts
enter into e then you can become anyone that you think about. You can
take on their thoughts, their memories, their actions, etc.I did that spontaneously and accidentally the first time. I was thinking about someone, and happened to clear my own mind and then *poof* I was sensing hers. This would be a good thing to explore more.My point is that the ind itself is made of awareness, knwoledge you possess about the mind.Well, we do model our minds using our energy, (aka awareness), and then fit our awareness into that model. I agree, it's best to not give the model any limitations and should you find any, intend a way to remove them. Also, an exit route from the mind, an ability to recognize what you put into it versus what others put into it, and a means of adjusting it as needed are all necessary tools to have. Another point of note yet to be addressed here, is there seems to be a two-way relationship between the mind and perception. Perceptions inform the mind, and the mind has at least some control over how they do so and what may be perceived.Do not curse your mind but explore it, stalk it.Amen!
This all needs to be organized in a bit clearer manner but was a great way to begin to explore the topic. I may organize it later and I may reply to other stuff at that time as well, not sure. Thanks for making the thread and thanks to spirit for leading me here as it was necessary for me to visit this today for reasons which go beyond this discussion.
