Being loved by another can be a powerful experience. Why not just love the self, so that external love isn't sought? The coldest of hearts isn't won by mere love--there's more to it than that. Much of the time reaching the frozen requires personal symbolism to reach the individual, ways to identify and connect. Persistence. Maybe all of that falls under the love category, but a 'lil love' is vague.
