Trading energy with an IOB is not the only way to gain dark energy. The exchange is not really an exchange at all, but a filling of the darkness with new form, new awareness. Pure awareness is nothing to be fearful of in my opinion, it is what existence rests upon. You need not go into any iob realm to use or harness dark energy at all. You can use it anywhere you are and without IOB's.
The tenant is not 10000 years old but only 5000 and something. I too have had my energy body in the shape of a shell that curves back into itself. The point of this is so that your energy is constantly recycling back into you, recycling reality around you, back into itself.. In this way one can live for an extremely long time without losing any energy. Reality around you in this position is constantly reforming from the same energy it began with. I can easily shift from inward shell to normal egg. I have also been woman.

That is merely a way of describing a position of awareness, don Juan's awareness of reality, when in truth they have other ways to describe the abstract nture of how they perceive reality to be, making it another position of awareness. The ancient ones have hundreds if not thousands of different positions of awareness they can shift in and out of.
Personally organic energy is merely a form of awareness and to take on the forms of the allies is not very difficult at all. To be volitionless and ride another's perception is not a difficult task at all and that is a form of inorganic awareness. Like I described in my opening post. It does not hinder freedom in any way and actually can help one attain freedom of different states more easily in fact. Being able to hook your awareness to another's perception can be quite beneficial. If the wind is set right you may ride it.
