For me no pity is ruthlessness, but not cruelty. It removes the burden of the egocentric self and places one just inside the reaches of infinity. The places of no doubt and ruthlessness work hand in hand together. It gives the person the freedom to act from a position of infinity, and removes all doubt form the mind to accomplish the goal which is carried out ruthlessly. You can be ruthless in you intent and actions but still avoid being cruel. I think that definition misses that point.
