Hi, there,
Here, is my drivel,..........................................seems to me,........anyone who thinks, there is any real possibility of survival of individual awareness after death, is already, lost to self-importance.
Where, oh where, do people get these ludicrous ideas?
Even DJM never mentioned any possibility of "immortality",.....but rather, that warriors who "burn with the fire from within", go on to have an existence in inorganic form, that may, last as much as, a million years. They still die, however,.........just as, inorganic beings do.
The idea of "immortality", is truely, horrific to me! Imagine, an eternity,(literally,), as the individual you are now,....................surely, the cruellest torture possible?
Death, is not only, an integral part of life, but also, a release, and therefore, a blessing.
Narcissists may disagree,...................but, thats thier problem.
Whether it be "immortality", or continuing on, in inorganic form,.......the only way I can imagine that, such a thing could be bearable, would be, if, one was to become something other than, human. Perhaps, something which has no concept of individuality.
To imagine that, one can "cheat" death, is not only, self-important, but also, utterly ridiculous.
Life and death are not, in any way opposed to each other. They are the same thing. Think about it.
Anyone who thinks otherwise, is divorced from the natural world.
That, is all. You may, feel free to ignore this post, as the drivel, it undoubtedly is
