Such a good post Brught Flame. And I agree...to address the burning bush in the sorcery tale as "stopping the world" I see it as that one threw off their once solid hold on reality.
Their world changed. It stopped. It wasn't what it used to be.
Something very different happened. All of a sudden the world was not constant. It stopped.
And I have had it collapse around me and thought I would die in its rubble.
