mamalama (funny nick:-)),
probably Dr.Green refers to what is defined by Carlos Castaneda as the second gate of dreaming. You reach it, when you can consciously change from one dream into another. Some go to sleep in one dream, and wake up in the next dream. I simply tell myself 'I want to change the dream' and in the next moment I am in another dream. Only by experience you learn to investigate the realms, by traveling you learn to distinguish the quality of feelings and beings that you encounter while travelling. That does not neccessarily imply a change of consciousness at first. You need to be experienced to notice that you yourself attained extra sensory abilities. When this happens, when in dreaming, you will enter the realms Dr. Green talked of. But then you are already in front of the third gate.
You need a lot of guts to travel without a guide. It is very dangerous. It is possible though to do it alone, as my experience proves it. But I sure was about to drown...
