I believe that any change in awareness beyond what Carlos referred to as "heightened awareness" is what Don Juan would refer to as a major movement of the assemblage point.
I have never seen the asemblage point myself and have only seen the luminous egg a few times. But I have had many experiences with altered awarenesses. Third eye, drawing down power, rising up to power etc.
There are many schools of occult knowledge and many methods to open ourselves to other realities.
I think staying in a "heightened awareness" state as much as possible/practical can make the major shifts more readily available. Sometimes we initiate these major shifts and sometimes Spirit initiates them.
I tend to take a wait and see approach to these major shifts. It ties-in to the idea of "Destiny" in my opinion.
The Spirit knows better than I do what I need to know and where I am supposed to go next.
