As creatures of darkness they probably find beings of light of be antithetical to their very nature.
If one stops generating fear and drama what are they going to feed on?
that's what cc wrote in his last book. by discipline we become unpalatable to them. "rotten" apple they are no more interested in.
fortunately there are so many juicy apples in the garden, so they do not care about few bad apples.
