It IS the end of the individual, the self. But awareness continues. The "integrity of awareness" continues. The 'modern seers' found that
when entering the filaments, they could traverse beyond the Eagle's act of consuming the self and still exist as the great web itself!!!
Awesome post Doc! That was a concise and focused explanation and it strikes me as being true, from my own occasional forays into seeing.
I would say that Freedom is the end of one's sense of separation or duality. This is possible for us. This is the Possibility we all share.

Paradoxically Awareness (if it's Right Awareness) is already beyond Duality and separation. In other words what Eckhart Tolle calls "the
unconditioned" is always available, right here, now. but our attention is addicted to petty distractions, so we always miss it. Separation is in fact an
illusion, the Grand Illusion.
But if we somehow manage to contact Greater Reality or "the Unconditioned" we ourselves become transformed into the agents of transformation
(sorcerers).
Our true purpose of Life on Earth is to become agents of transformation.
But, we need to find a consistent way to practice it. Because if we don't work at it and practice, then when the end comes we won't be ready.
