Yes, I know what you mean by looking out through the darkness. I try to imagine I am seeing about 6 feet ahead of me.
I have heard many different opinions about sleeping positions but I have always felt that laying on my back is the best for lucid dreaming and astral projection even though I often have difficulty getting my neck completely comfortable. Just out of curiosity, do you use a cushion or pillow to rest your head?
As I am falling asleep, I try to bring to mind recent dream encounters with the Ravens and remember details and particularly how I felt (emotions) during the experiences.
