Fate sounds a bit fatalistic to me.
I believe in destiny. But I don't think we always know that we are fulfilling it at the time.
"Fate points out our road and we can choose to follow it or not."
I agree with that, but sometimes by not choosing the road we may end up on that road anyway.
"Do you think that as we get older, this becomes less of a factor? Not less important, but Fate seems to appear much less often."
It may be a "fine tuning" of a path we chose many years ago. Or it may have to do with the fact that we are more adventuous when young.
"When it does appear then it's even more apparent or one consciously recognizes it."
Probably because of experience. When you have dealt with the leading of spirit many times before you are less likely to doubt it. A young person second guesses him/herself.
