In my profession (don't ask), I encounter many people that live on the outskirts on human society. Last week I met a woman who was hearing voices in her mind about a young boy being abused by his father. As she was talking with me she suddenly gave me a strange look and asked me in a whisper "did you hear that?" I answered her truthfully "no". She gripped her lips then said "you must think I'm crazy?". I answered no, that I believe people can hear and see things that other people cannot. She gave me then a bit of a smile and we parted ways. The boy she thought was being abused was calling for her to help him but she didn't know where he was or how he could be found.
