Alas...
I live in the desert in a wilderness area called Tonto Forest.
This desert forest is part of the great sonoron desert of central Arizona and home to the Superstition Mountains.
Twice a week in the warmer tempatures I will run a four mile square near my homestead early in the morning before it becomes to hot. I do it to clear my head and to get some exercise.
This morning while running near a dirt road I found one of the ravens dead along the ditch. It had been there awhile and it was difficult to tell what had happened to it.
So black it was.
A vulture was circling overhead so I continued my run.
Here in the desert there is a cycle of death. Rabbitt, snake, coyote, vulture, all are part of it in the Wolflands. Lone Wolf
