Oh, nothing wrong in defending some good traditions, which can be very helpful indeed for the journey, as they do provide some practical means and a "map" describing some "check points" about "where one is at" .... along the journey. Though of course (quoting here) "the map" never can be the "territory".
And at some point, when witnessing radiance, luminosity .... "sing" ... direct inner knowing .... Ken Wilbers writings about non-duality came in very handy also.

So if someone was to try to run these teachings down ... I guess, I would try to defend them verbally as well.
Though at times, it is true .... there really is no point in even getting into that subject either .... if the personal experience of the "non-dual luminosity" isn't there.
