Wonder why buddists like to meditate under a waterfall? Ions! Yup negative ions.
Techniclaly they didnt know they science behind why when they started this practice.
I wish I could find it again but scientists did a study on transandental experiences and visions during meditation and each experience and its vividness was directly related to the number of negative ions in the air.
I used to go to a spiritualist church and when they would have their phsychic fairs they would put ion generators in the rooms so the physicics wouldnt get drained as fast.
Also according to studies the highest level of negative ions in nature are found in caves and waterfalls...preferably a cave behind a waterfall.
I find this very interesting because before I started getting into sorcery metaphysics and spiritual things I had a very vivid dream/vision about the end of the world.
I was trying to show people the way out...only one person would listen to me. It was an underground river behind a waterfall!
Me personally I sleep with an ionising sheet every night, aside from the spiritual benefits science has also proven it helps the physical body to heal and recover faster.
