I still don't get this 'unconcerned' awareness you are speaking of, although i try. I agree though that anything that tries to hide or deny our magnificence deserves to be 'let go' of, or 'put down'.
I try not to classify people based form my past experiences though, because like you say it is the here and now, and so what is coming can be unexpected and unknown, or it can be in my control, which places past negative values aside. Therefor I refrain from saying things like 'most people are this" for this places me in that space. A good position of awareness I have found sees and activates the connection between my awareness and theirs to the place where they can see what I see directly, therefor giving them the actual awareness I have so no mistakes can be made. It takes energy though to do this and so I often don't.
