Hello Xlyer and glance 
I am glad not to be alone here in my amazement of dragonflies.And, yes, I was wondering if someone will mention their unique movement (thnx glance for the helpful link). My recent discovery quest did not bring this aspect of theirs to the forefront (though it was there in the hovering and such). I also know that bees are quite special in how they can fly... but that is a different story

Xlyer, does your book say more about the significance of the water and air realms? Just curious what this author says about it.

I have had quite a few encounters with dragonflies. Most recently during my summer in Spain. This was quite interesting because I would be in a certain place regularly and only after a certain while did I notice there are sooo so many dragonflies there. It was like I shifted to another layer of reality and could suddenly see what I did not see before. I always feel there is an entrance of magic when dragonflies are around. Like this soft gentle threading of fairy stuff. I love it when during their fast flight they stop right in front of my face and hover (or go slightly left and right) for a second or two .
