Animal Question

I was just wondering do animals tie into shamanism in any way or should I say in what ways, I have a dog and a cat and I have read that cats can see multiple
dimensions and I like to think the same goes for dogs.




A couple of times my dog seemed to start barking at things I could not see which I would usually assume it was a small animal or something in the bushes and
once my dog barked at me but it was as if he was barking at something behind me and not at me because I know my dog has respect for me and does not dare to
bite the one that feeds him and he knows I love him.




what makes me bring this up is the last couple of days my dog seems to be flipping out at something outside and it is very cold and snowing which I would
believe there are no small animals because of the cold and when I let him out to see what it was he seemed confused.




dare I say, maybe he can see or hear the beyond? I know they can hear much better than humans can and they can see in the dark much better as well but these
past few days seemed a little out of character, he is fine today though.




anyway, any thoughts on animal companions? any reading material you can recommend?
