Interestingly.. it is the second pic which brings more delight. I mean, think of the care you took to screw the knife secure. How apropos, using the same surgical clamps that would be used to save someone's life. The sympolism of the x'ed out cross ... are those little skulls of dead humans? Jeez, rosygyro your keen use of such a wicked looking blade titlilates me. I have this fantastic, sensational, newly discovered penchant for doing my own artistic, gory surgery. Observe your own instrument; pulling it out out of another's body would surely cause more pain and damage coming out then when going in. Though that is not the point.
The artistry lends itself to a distinct double meaning which I am certain you meant. I mean, the double sided protrusion from a single beautifully intricate handle is not lost on me. One's self DOES get penetrated when using such a double-sided knife both physically and spiritually. And think of the excruciating twisting and writhing of both impaled bodies, close enough to touch either, but too painfully apart to embrace. OOOhhh, such cruelty there. Who would ever have known that self-inflicted pain enjoining one to another causes me such euphoria. Your piece, Chamber 23 should accompany this work. "Touch yourself and you sense me," takes on a new, depthful and poignant meaning.
