I challenge the alluded movement here to group consciousness and intelligent co-operation.
Surely, you understand that humans stand only for a moment in universal history, and not significantly more in earth's evolutionary process. Are you negating the possibility of life elsewhere in the universe(s)? Where do you obtain fundamental credential for group consciousness value?
To myself, the supposition does not have a a root merit. All entities bear the trait of isolation, moreso than belonging to otherness. A rudimentary view of evolution demonstrates that this is more of a competitive, if not hostile and violent endeavor. Are you arguing a form of creationism over Darwin's natural selection?
Suddenly, somehow humanity magically became the center of universality? I don't understand the premise here.
Based on empiricism, I am most definitely alone. You are not?
The enlightenment I would intend, procure or happen on-- is not dependent on otherness whatsoever in the most meaningful way. That is, I am AWARE.
No matter how noble your goal, there is no permanence in 'we.' I alone have phenomenological presence. You know what I mean? Ask me "who the *** are you, Billy?"
My view does not negate beneficience of social interaction and rules at all, but simply disavows the idea that intelligent co-operation is intrinsic to all species in the universe. Humans are a species. Differentiate to me by fact, that this species uniquely has need of some profound group consciousness. I do not see that.
The steps of infused Contemplation are three. The first is Satiety. When the soul is filled with God, it conceives a Hatred to all worldly things; then ‘tis quiet and satisfied only with Divine Love.
The second is intoxication. And this step is an excess of Mind, and an Elevation of Soul, arising from Divine Love and satiety of it.
