To answer on the other half of the question: The difference between sorcery and nagualism. To make an analogy - sorcery intent that does not aim for the nagual is like a closed room with many windows that do not open and there is no door. The windows give the illusion that perception is not contained through this practice, due to all that can be seen from the windows while being within the room. Yet one is always aware of this fact that they are not truly free, so there is always a choice at hand.
